My high expectations for another solid Obsidian sequel to a great BioWare game are thoroughly crushed, as I find out that negative reviews can be fun to write with my take on Neverwinter Nights 2.
To this day, I have never seen a high-profile game so rushed as Neverwinter Nights 2. I have played many bad games. The Football Manager series seem to ship with an increasing amount of bugs year after year. The relatively obscure adventure Runaway 2 was just plain unfinished.
But for a title with the star power of Neverwinter Nights 2 to feel so phoned-in, in every conceivable area, it was incredulous. At least I had fun writing my report.
I didn’t try to appear angry for comedic purposes and I don’t think that the piece is nearly as scathing as the game deserved. But it does have some snide remarks and some people loved it.
